If diasporic populations are never in a permanent form of being but always in a negotiation between absence and presence, then, the regeneration of the community relies on the continual ground-up re-creation of architectural moments and environments that define oases. The Atmospheric Pavilion is a temporary, flexible structure that can be reassembled on different sites. The structure forms a tunnel whose walls are defined by fabric and tinsel, which reflect projections of different waterscapes. The pavilion was informed by the transient nature of urban dislocations and the architectures of diasporas, in order to rearticulate a space of remembrance and regeneration within a city that has always done and undone itself.
